About Me

I am a private dealer of tribal arts specializing in the areas of Africa, Oceania, Asia, and the Americas. My goal is to bring the best museum-quality art objects to the market as I can find, with rigorous standards for authenticity, age, and artistic presence. I am intensely drawn to natural forms and the interplay between color, material, surface, age, and ritual use.

As a lifelong collector, I always found myself drawn to antiques and cultural objects. My fondness for the art and traditions of the world led me to begin my collection at age 16, initially focusing on African sculpture and then gradually moving into a broader range encompassing many indigenous cultures and ritual systems from every continent.

I began dealing after moving to New York, and since then have expanded my knowledge by immersing myself in museums, private collections, art shows, and literature. I primarily focus on wooden sculpture, but I have also sold many metal and earthenware objects, as well as continually studying new areas, materials and techniques.
